From the first minutes of [festive occasion of choice], [time difference] hours ahead of many of you, I'd like to [expression of want for following to occur] you a(n) [intensifier of choice] [adjective indicating happiness and/or merriment] [festive occasion of choice]. May [relevant people] [auxiliary verb of choice] [desired behaviour], and may this [festive occasion of choice] bring to [you and/or yours] [desired result].

So, yes. Have a(n) [intensifier of choice] [adjective indicating happiness and/or merriment] [festive occasion of choice]. And - to borrow from a(n) [adjective indicating age and/or widespread familiarity] tale - [entity] [expression for investment of likelihood of goodness] us, everyone.

(Read text enclused [thus] as spaces to fill in whatever works for you. My suggestions, in order, are: xmas, (your GMT offset + 11 hrs), wish, expansively, merry, xmas, people, be, nice to other people, xmas, you and yours, hapiness and merriment, incredibly, happy, xmas, classic, I'm completely not picking an entity, make stuff good for (hey, look, I didn't quite think that bit through). So, um, yes. Merriment. Happiness. For all of you. Got it?)

Wheeeee! Also, 10 points to you for sidestepping the mimetic abuse of the word 'context'.

And a happy Christmas to you too, not-so-future person. May it be untroubled by Cylons with hats.

So far, so good. It's rather piratey, though.

Mad Lib Mania!
From the first minutes of Saturnalia, 37 hours ahead of many of you, I'd like to inflict upon you a hot-diggity, so hip you can't see over your own pelvis, Rhododendron Festival. May the trolls who hang around [livejournal.com profile] cf_hardcore cease wanking for more than 5 minutes, and may this Wintereenmas bring to loyal members of [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes free paid time and extra icons.

So, yes. Have a tricked-out squeegasmic raging fandom debate over the title of the next Potter book. And - to borrow from a shamelessly bastardized by Disney, those unoriginal fucks, tale - the owl says that you'll survive plowing if you move your house to the lee of the stone.

On an unrelated note, you should probably start waving some authority about in [livejournal.com profile] apathy_games. (And if you could give me a copy of the stuff I decided on for Bella, that'd be good: my paper versions seem to have gone slightly missing, and I'd rather not go ransacking my desk unless I need to)

I'm aware of that. But NaNo passed, and then I got swamped in work, and then went and quoted my icon, because it was approaching the aforementioned Rhododendron Festival, and so I figured New Years was probably a good time to get back in action.

It also appears that [livejournal.com profile] lady_zip/Ingrid will be dropping. She's just finished school and now is facing a big old chunk of Lifeā„¢, and feels she can't properly commit to this. Woe.

We'll manage.

I'd sort of assumed as much re: new year - it's nice and convenient. Will we have to rearrange the pulp novels or can we just keep them as they are and leave Ingrid as a Non Participant character?

Backgrounds are fine. Nothing saying she can't make cameos or deux exes or whatnot. One strength of SOTC (at least in face to face games) is that it's meant to easily accomodate people coming and going randomly without disrupting things.

Augh. Even [livejournal.com profile] efw has not sufficiently prepared me for that level of noncommittal brackets.

A(n) [intensifier of choice] [adjective indicating happiness and/or merriment] [festive occasion of choice] to you too.

Hey! Those brackets aren't completely noncommital. Just... flexible. Especially if you have odd ideas of festive occasions, like "The Opening of the Seventh Bottle" or something.

I have a question to ask you about local slang.

Mind if I send you an e-mail tomorrow about it? I'm going to bed now (yaaaay) but it's bothering me.

Oh, and by the by? You still owe me some weirdass fic.

A question? Iiiinteresting.

Email's fine, or you can just put it in a comment here, or whatever. MY addy's in my userinfo, or ye olde username@lyvejournalle.comme forwarding thingy should work now that I have more paid time.

And... I know. I even have a cunning plan for how to write it, but it's not quite working out as well as I'd hoped yet.
