I kind of felt like doing this meme again, mostly because I went and had a look at the last time for no apparent reason.
Additionally, because I can't help myself when faced with a meme, the results table includes the change in ranking from the last time (with previous results adjusted for equal nth) and the number of comments posted since the 15th of January last year.
Note that this is a purely statistical exercise for fun - numbers of comments and positions on the table are for entertainment purposes only, and aren't at all for dramaunless you actually don't love me anymore.

And there we have it. 16 people moved up one or more places, 7 didn't go anywhere, and there's 21 new entries on the table. 29 people (or, 28 people who still have a LiveJournal) didn't comment at all, and - unsurprisingly - no-one's comment count fell.

Date: 2008-01-12 10:41 pm (UTC)I always quite liked this style. Sadly my pasta sauce recipe has meat in it. Mind you, since the other other ingredient is a jar of Raguletto's Garlic and Red Wine pasta sauce, it is probably not all that difficult to tweak the recipe to your specifications.
The round robin has left me and subsequently vanished. I did speak to the next writer and she had received it but not done anything with it. I can poke her again, though, and in fact probably should.
Or I could post the beginning in a new comment and see what you make of it. What think you of that notion?

Lauren

Date: 2008-01-13 03:23 am (UTC)it's a fun style. It makes a gratuitous comment conversation feel like something that's a little more than just a gratuitous comment conversation, and that can't possibly be a bad thing. Plus, it helped show me just how badly long comment threads could break my layout.
I think we could maybe do both; I'm probably not the only one on the list wondering where the story's gotten to, and seeing the beginning could be interesting. And possibly a little bit of a break from my present fascination with New Weird.
So. 'Tis a happy notion, just like a tower of soup.

Linda

Date: 2008-01-13 05:35 am (UTC)Not that there's anything wrong with gratuitous comment conversations.
I will post the tower of soup... um, I mean the story beginning, in a separate comment.

But where are the turrets... um, I mean, ooh, shiny. Baking and a boat, all at once. Whee!

Date: 2008-01-13 07:17 pm (UTC)I suppose if the breaking-LJ-layout issue were still an issue there could be an issue, but it appears that's no longer an issue. I am going to find that last sentence far less funny when I've actually woken up.
The turrets are... um, over there. *waves hand vaguely* In some other scene. Later. Maybe.
I really need to find some sort of program that closes my computer down at 9 PM and is set so I can't start it back up again until 6 AM. Times to be alterable for weekends and holidays (ha, like I have holidays, all my annual leave goes on my sick days because I have no sick leave left). Or a program that gives me actual willpower to get off the damned thing. It's not like I'm doing anything important by 10.30 PM anyway, just wandering around various websites and reading forums and it's all very unnecessary and it's making me waste valuable sleeping time.
Love,
Lauren
