Here we have a couple of poll-memes. The first one is pretty self explanatory, and cometh via [livejournal.com profile] hestia. If you run out of space... bah. I made it as big as LJ allows.

The second is to google "$YOUR_NAME needs" [with quotation marks], then put the first 10 things you find into a poll. Mine has 25 things, because this is me and I do things like that, and they're tickyboxes so that you can pick them all if you're feeling really bored, and this bit on the end adds no new information but makes the sentence really very long - maybe even too long, but then you know what some people are like, such as one classics lecturer I had who took one mark off my essay for a split infinitive and another 24 for the late penalty, who probably writes sentences just as long to act all scholarly but likely hates reading them because there's really a lot to take in when someone writes such a long sentence where it might actually contain substantive content. Um... anyway, this meme's from all kinds of folk.

If you're spoiler-sensitive for Serenity, and haven't yet seen it... GO THIS WEEKEND. This weekend is crucial to keeping our Big Damn Movie on as many screens as possible.

And there's dialogue spoilerism and a subtle bit of plot spoilerism behind the cut.

My sister's going to see the movie with five of her friends this week, so that's a little bit, at least.
I have a feeling that while it's not doing well initially, as long as word-of-mouth prevails, Serenity should definetly linger.

The cinema nearest me's still running 28 BDM screenings each week, which is quite pleasant to note. So long as we can keep the word spreading - so long as they can't stop the signal - we can keep Serenity on cinema screens. With luck, it may even turn a profit before the DVDs sell.

There seems to have been a knock-on effect from all this Serenity: I tried to buy the Firefly DVD set yesterday (and the day before), but every store I went to had sold out, and had more on order, and wished they had some now because of the lost sales.

There was no shiny to take home, but I was strangely pleased.

Joss made Serenity for the fans.

Looks to be that Serenity is making fans for Joss. :)
