Just a few random thoughts today.

First is that everyone seems to be talking to iGod lately. Now, seems to me that whoever talks to God is a bit loopy, but apparently that doesn't matter if it's on the Internets. And so, it's time for me to check on one of the favourite excuses that serial killers use.
Me:
     Hi
God:
     Hello. What is your name?
Me:
     You should know it.
God:
     Now I do.
Me:
     What's your name?
God:
     My name is God.
Me:
Can you answer a few questions?
God:
Of course I can! What was the question ?
Me:
Is it wrong to kill people?
God:
Not if I can help it.
Me:
So it's ok to kill people who irritate me?
God:
     Woe! OK with me too.
Me:
     It's been great, God. Thanks.
God:
      Don't mention it.

Next up is the connection strength box in LimeWire. "Your connection is getting stronger." "Your connection is very strong." It's like they were written after a Star Wars marathon of DOOOM.

...

"The Web is strong with this one."

Lastly, I took my dogs for a walk earlier. Now, I decided to play a kind of game where I try to sneak outside and surprise them. I had the door half open (with the screen one still closed), without making a noise at all. And then Murphy just glanced over at the door with a cute yet puzzled expression, and I ruined it all with a bit of a gigglefit. Then they went for their walk, which met with the usual amount of Montie and Murphy trying to walk on opposite sides of signposts. This is where Murphy's new trick comes in useful: He now likes to walk around the pole three or four times, then sit, and look, and give a little smile of "I'm cute!".

Laughing to death was not the message I wanted to give for this behaviour.

Also, my music collection is starting to look more respectable. Winamp now has 402 tracks in its playlist; while not much, it's 402 more than a few weeks back.

I took a couple yesterday when they were being cute. They're on film, though.

I'm waiting for the online Midichlorian test. Then we can have elitist LJ-communities where you're sorted into Houses of the Jedi Academy according to your Midichlorian count. I'm hoping to get into Secura House, myself.

And also, yippieh for getting a conveniently interpetable straight answer out of iGod!

The online what who where... um... help!
(Looks like I'm right out of those elitist comms. Jedi academies. Hmph. Back in my day, the fandom wouldn't have entertained the notion. I blame Kevin Bloody Anderson, and his theory that you can write piffle for SW and no-one will notice. (um... sorry))

A straight answer, and a lovely one at that. iGod really did tell me to!

If we could figure out who iGod's botmaster is, he might be able to program an iMidichlorian iCounter. Or something.
(Not at all. I wouldn't be adverse to pretending nothing happened before, between, or after Episodes IV-VI, canon-wise.)

With iGod condoning your actions, I suppose your next trip to the supermarket should go over rather more satisfyingly, no? Piece of advice, though, if I may: Write "iGod told me to!" on a bit of cardboard to hold up, because you'll get tired of giving the same explanation over and over again really quickly.

I think it'd have to be an mp3chlorian iCounter.
(I like Zahn's trilogy. It's canonised as far as I care, because Lucas got Kashyyyk and Coruscant from it. And because vengeful!Mara (henceforth Mara Jade Montoya) is quite a fun character.)

I don't rant about supermarkets that much, do I?

I get really excited on those few rare occasions when my LimeWire is "turbo-charged". I don't know if it really makes a difference or not, but it makes me happy.

"Turbo-charged" like in a PODRACER MAYBE?!!

....sorry, it was just, you know, the Star Wars thing! IT'S NOT MY FAULT!

Huh, iGod. Didn't know that existed.

And sadly, I think that's the exact same conversation that all those crazy people have with god, too.

God:
Woe! OK with me too.

I love how that sentence starts off with 'woe'.

"Killing people? No, murder is wrong, and your soul shall forever be destroyed if you commit this sin!

...aw, what the hell, go for it."

"People annoy you? Woe! Just lemme get all Sodom and Gomorrah on 'em. My angels'll be comin', and they'll blow those arrogant cods to the hot place."

God:
Human habits do not bother me in any way.
Me:
So, basically, what you're telling me is I can do whatever I want?
