Followup

As you may have gathered from my previous entry, there was snow! That's the first time ever I've had fluffy powdery bits of ice fall on me, and I'm still grinning in a somewhat mad fashion. Snow! Yay! I took my camera out and took photos (with a gap in the middle to, y'know, attach a lens and all), and then came back in and frantically wiped it dry, and took the film out and it's going to be developede yay tomorrow (but unfortunately I don't have a scanner) and then went back outside to be snowed on.

And that's a very long sentence. I suppose the short version is this: Wheee!

It's come to my attention through recent use of the win2k command line that, well, it sucks*. To this end, I finally got around to digging out my CD with the ports of things like ls, less and grep.

And, lastly, people seem to be mildly timid about commenting with linkyness or suggestions or such. Don't be. No comment is too random, no fun link too tangential, no book suggestion out of place.

*This may be because remembering about silly things like dir is now quite impossible for me.

Hee, the boulevard news on TV over here are all "OMG snow in Australia! However will they survive the...being snowed on? I mean,...erm...the stuff's cold! Stay tuned for more pictures of Melbourne being snowed on and us conveniently forgetting to mention this has, in fact, happened before. See Australians wearing long-sleeved things!"

Yay for fluffy ice, but it's been rather cold all day. By contrast, there's supposed to be an overnight low of -2°, which is far from scary for the rest of the world but merits warm thingies here.
