Both of these are from [livejournal.com profile] lesslikeyou, who - as you'll probably guess later - tagged me for the second. Time to wreak some mayhem on an unsuspecting list!meme, I feel.

Firstly, we have 280 comments in total, as follows.

These statistics were generated using LJ Stats. Original idea from [livejournal.com profile] scrapdog's LJ Comment Stats Wizard.

Secondly, we have some list items. Try not to keep them too long, since they have victim impact statements to write.

Oh! The instructions. Heeeere we go --
Not because you have to, but because you WANT to! Things you enjoy, even when no one around you wants to go out and play. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make a list, post it to your journal... and then tag 5 friends and ask them to post it to theirs.
  1. Making Stuff™
Yes, Stuff™. I'm being generic today. Seriously, though - icons, cakes, cookies, 'art'*, sense, nonsense, coffee, tea, comms, modified layouts, reworked game rules (I'm almost completely reassambling d20 at present), bits of code and any of a million other things. I sometimes try to fix stuff, too, but last time I tried that my ex-lamp gave me a bit of a shock. I've also been known to try to fix things in a rather River-like manner.
  2. Doing Stuff
Getting things out of the way that don't need much in the way of thinking. A short while back, I found myself cleaning everything one day just to keep my mind off things**. Other examples include resorting my books, sorting through the mountains of paper on my desk and trying to organise my MP3s.
  3. Hugging Stuff
I have two dogs. I have an army of plushies. I have a multitude of cushions about the place. Not so long ago, there'd have been more to this list**. Sometimes I'll even just randomly hug things I'm holding while doing something else - once or twice, I've lost books while sitting at my desk by hugging them and looking everywhere else.
  4. Playing Stuff
I'll let you in on a little secret - I'm terrible at finishing games. What part of 'ENFP' says I obsessively get things over and done with? Once it gets repetitive, I'll stop playing and do something else. This is part of why I play text adventures, and all of why I wish more games had plots. In other playing options, I have a pair of dogs who just love it when you want to play with them - and they think you always want to play with them. I also have a pretty acoustic guitar, on which I must get around to playing the ancient Chinese folk song Tu-Ning..
  5. Intarnets Stuff
The Internet can be read, and it's almost constantly changing. LJ can be fun, and has been soaking up a lot of my online time of late - partly because Gmail gives me near-instantaneous notification of comments, and partly because its bandwidth consumption is friendly to we dark-ages dialup users. Flash games provide endless amusement, and can either be laughed with or at.
  6. Reading Stuff
This one comes with some qualifications, though. I wish I could afford to buy more books - they only last 2-3 hours. I wish I could stand to read books from libraries, but something about pre-fondled books puts me a bit off them. I wish I could read most books more than once. I wish I could read long texts off a screen comfortably.
  7. Watching Stuff
My dogs, storms (when there's precipitation, that is), some TV shows, films, that little movie on the internet where they demonstrate superheated water, the way people mill about in shopping centres, and a few things else, in a rather Leonardo-esque fashion. Curiosity and observation are wondrous things, especially for taking your mind off everything else.
And now, the (un)lucky five will be my top five commenters that aren't me and didn't tag me for the meme -
  1. [livejournal.com profile] ryttu3k
  2. [livejournal.com profile] princesslaurene
  3. [livejournal.com profile] ssha
  4. [livejournal.com profile] fireyfox
    and
  5. [livejournal.com profile] theshadowlurker
- since I'm feeling a bit lazy and it seemed like an efficient way of picking people.

*which reminds me - I promised pictures of that dragon. Next post, I think.
**yes, explanation still pending.

Hoo-ray. Once you do that, I'll even go and read it, and maybe even comment.

Only some. The rest are amusing, thoughtful or pointless.

I changed my mind. I'm too miserable to think of cheerful things :(

I'm currently ignoring ALL thoughts of Teh Ebil Essay and just focusing on, y'know, trying to BREATHE properly.

There's a difference between misery and asphyxiation from within. Best of luck with that.

I suspect Paul's got rather a bit to answer for, then.

Bad Paul. Bad, naughty Paul. He shall have to be spanked.

...hello, deja vu.

Whoa.

(Incidentally, there's a good chance that I accidentally may have given Tim my cough on Tuesday night. If so, that shall be... interesting.)

*headdesk*

(Indeed. I can see it in his autobiography:

And then I did this episode of the Glasshouse, and this comedy fangirl I was talking to after gave me McDermott's cough.)
