Odd thoughts seem to like coming in the shower. Today, the odd thought was that it'd be kind of fun to make an 'all signs point to yes' C joke, possibly involving an array. And then, I got to thinking about the possibilities for an RPG system which uses a magic 8-ball in place of dice. I came up with a vague set of mechanics for it to run on, but whatever details come with odd shower thoughts seem to be utterly destroyed by close proximity to a towel.

Still, I think it could be fun.

Also, I cut my finger earlier, too, getting my hairbrush out of its drawer, because I actually put it away for once. Tidiness is dangerous. This I've mostly remembered because I've been cutting the loose threads off my band-aid with scissors. Desk, head, have you met?

From a TV ad: "GPS, a four-day chase..." - and I heard no more. So, I'm completely anticipating a show about OMG XTREEM GEOCACHING, or something. Also, it hurts to misspell 'extreme' like that.

In criminal news, police found half a million dollars worth of ecstasy in the boot of a stolen car. A stolen car, which was stopped for speeding. Who speeds in a stolen car full of drugs?! Honestly, once upon a time, crime had standards. And now I feel like Giles talking about the standards of the demons in Enemies (BtVS 3.17). source article

Apparently, the word of the day today is 'abecedarian'. It's kind of fun to say, and looks vaguely nifty. I think I'd like to see each of you use it somewhere in an entry. If you do, please comment with a link, and don't tell anyone why you've used it.

And that's about it for the moment, because I'm going to go and watch BSG.

Yay! Using words that very few people know can be fun.

Heh. I know :) By the time I was a year and a half old, I knew words (and their meanings) that my mother didn't, and my favorite game was using them in front of her.

She speaks truth!

I recommend those bath crayons that are supposedly for kids. :)

The bath crayons, in my case, would inevitably dam the flow of ideas until I forgot them.

Done, and hopefully done correctly. And also, that was fun.

It's best when word-of-the-day thingies give you words that you don't already know. And, frequently, use.

Unless, that is, they're word-of-the-day things with an utterly fantastic etymology bit, in which case they're fun whatever the word is.

I was, uh, going to make a crack about how those odd thought are really enjoying that shower, but I decided it would be in better taste to do this.

I think that if they really enjoyed the shower, they'd probably prefer to be inside my head when I'm not naked.

...
When are you ever in the shower with clothes on?

This is exactly my point. When I'm warm, damp and naked, the thoughts are inside my head, where the view is somewhat more limited.

Well, what in the world are they doing there? You should get one of those aluminium-foil helmets.
