Names and I have this odd kind of relationship. Some days, I can magically come up with inspiringly brilliant names for anything you'd care to drag before me. It's just all the other days that are the problem, the ones where I couldn't make up a name if my life depended on it.

This is one of those other days.

It's been suggested to me that there should be a comm for icons that are inspired by comments or posts from [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes. I certainly agree with this - and not just because I'm a rampant narcissist. The problem, as cunningly foreshadowed, is that I'm at a loss for a name that I could give it. Or, at least, a good one.

The obvious solution is to do right what I'm doing now, and tap the collective brain of my dangerously creative [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes-reading flist for a suitable name. If you have something to offer, or even a scrap of an idea that could be used to make a really good name, then I'd certainly like to hear it. I promise all collaborators on the final name widespread infamy and phenomenal cosmic power... or maybe a (dis)honourable mention in the comm info.

I was thinking of something amazingly boring like [livejournal.com profile] mq_icons or similar. Maybe someone else can come up with something more amazing.

So you're going to create the comm? I guess one of us had to...

I was thinking more along the lines of [livejournal.com profile] iconquotes or similar, but I'm not sure how well that'd actually work.

[livejournal.com profile] iconmeta? Or [livejournal.com profile] metaicon?

I took your advice about the 64 colours and the Rimmer icon seems to be a workable size now.

[livejournal.com profile] metaicons sounds workable, I think, and seems like a decent clue to what it's all about.
