Help!

[active_apathy]

I'm not sure this is entirely healthy - eleven episodes of Firefly over the last twenty-two hours. Nine hours out of the last twenty-two spent watching a TV show made by Joss Whedon*.

To put it in perspective, I doubt I'd do this with DVDs of Buffy (I'd probably watch Once More with Feeling pretty quickly, though). I can't believe that Fox decided to stop making it for poor ratings - what faith I was starting to have in Americans is starting to slip again (though, in all fairness, they swapped the episodes around which rather screwed the metaplot). With any luck, Serenity will get enough of an audience for Firefly to return - after all, Buffy was a movie before she was a TV series.

If you're reading this and have never seen an episode of Firefly, then I surely do think that you should beg, borrow, or steal it. It's shiny.

*and not just for Morena Baccarin and Jewel Staite, thankyou very much.†

a) I would, but not just yet. I wonder if it's possible to invent some kind of Firefly patch until such time as Serenity opens. (The Message squeezed its way in between the entry and Iron Chef)

Which reminds me: Must see Serenity on first day possible. May use timezone to see before rest of world. 'Squeeeeee!' likely at first appearance of all characters except Jayne, who I don't like quite so much. Oh, and, whoever ends up making more Firefly possible deserves the title as big damn heroes.

b) Ok. I might watch some Buffy like this. Just some, though.

c) i) Thankfully, Wash doesn't have that facial fungus for anything outside those couple of scenes in Out of Gas.

ii) I think my wanting to give Kaylee hugs and kisses gives the meme in my last entry some bonus points.

d) icon inspired - if you had to pick (for any reason) - captain Sparrow or captain Reynolds?

There is nothing wrong with watching Firefly all day. I repeat, nothing wrong.

There is also nothing unhealthy with my obsession with Firefly... *innocent whistles* And waiting until September is far too long to wait for Serenity.

Fortunately, Joss Whedon wants to make more Firefly, in any format he possibly can.

Oh, and the Serenity RPG is coming out in August, exactly one month before the film, using a system designed from the ground up over many, many Firefly viewings. There ain't a power in the 'verse that can stop me getting that, even if the Dresden Files RPG ships on the very. same. day.
