More update!

So, I'm using the TV for background noise. There's been The Einstein Factor, Meerkat Manor and It's Me or the Dog for actual watching purposes, and now it's Australian Idol for easily-ignored background noise.

This year, they've added an SMS thingy to send in comments about the judges, and apparently it's getting slashers. Slashers who seem to think that Kyle not commenting on $CONTESTANT's shirt means that there's some kind of UST between them. Or so it sounded to me, but then I'm back to doing my homework and could just be desperate for some kind of entertainment. Tittering at a slasher counts for those purposes, at the moment.

In other news, Oktoberfest has started, not that beer's much my thing, but the idea of weeks of drinking sounds fairly appealing at the moment. More appealing, in fact, than sitting here and doing more work.

Oh well. There's only about four hours' more work left tonight. And then, then, I can go through my cupboard and try to make a passing imitation of a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. Or, y'know, just collapse on my bed, curl up tight, and possibly hug a teddy bear.

It's Oktoberfest in Cincinnati, too--I love the idiots going around saying very snidely, "Don't they know it's September?"

Really the best thing about our Oktoberfest is that it's the home of the World's Largest Chicken Dance. XD

They don't have their Oktoberfest here until October which is, as I'd like for everyone to know, Just. Plain. Wrong. So, then, let us take up a campaign of education with leaflets and a well-made impact-resistant quart mug.

Oktoberfest here doesn't go for sixteen eighteen days, either. Grr.
