Partly because she wanted to see the other results, and partly because the word 'subversive' may be a little too appealing. Anyway!

You scored as True Alternative. You are a True Alternative! Labels do not suit you well, particularly as you tend to strike your own path and to grow purely via experience. No armchair quarterbacking for you! Originality and creation are your specialities, and sometimes you can even articulate what the hell just happened. Someday you may find yourself drawing the maps for other people... lots of other people.

I am also a "true alternative"... though I'm not at all sure what I'm an alternative too. Sucide, perhaps?

From: [identity profile] active-apathy.livejournal.com
And here we see even more of that uncanny similarity. :)

I have no idea what the not-subversive alternative is.. which means I haven't a clue as to what I should actually subvert.

Maybe we don't need targets. Maybe we can just lurk around on street corners looking vaguely subliminal. Not sure how to do that either, but I suspect I could have a lot of fun trying.

I would also like to retract the phrase "what I'm an alternative too". No, wait. That would make the comment make even less sense than it already does. So I'll settle for just retracting the extra "o".

There's only one way to find out, since - apparently - our subversion is new and different and may inspire tomorrow's subversion.

I think I managed to extract meaning from it.

Hmmm. Well, I don't know if I want to be subverted by a bunch of impudent little whippersnappers fifty years from now.

I just hope they learn to do it right, instead of coming up with some watered-down Subversion for Dummies approach.

Huh. Youngsters. Why, in my day, all we had was boxes with shiny screens. And we practically created our own religion. I tell you, we had to log in uphill both ways in a blinding blizzard. You kids just don't know how lucky you have it.

I think you missed "and we liked it".

I am subversively not going to take the quiz, thereby creating a new subversive alternative paradigm of "People who don't take quizzes." This makes us even more alternative than alternative people who take alternative quizzes.

I'm counter-counter-culture!

Date: 2006-02-06 06:50 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] active-apathy.livejournal.com
Except that by not taking the quiz, you're merely joining the ranks of faceless billions who haven't taken the quiz.

The problem with being countercounterculture is that to other people, it just looks oddly like normal.

From: [identity profile] mrpyro.livejournal.com
Hmm. This means that I have to come up with some way of distinguishing between my cool new counter-counter-culture and the normal people.

Maybe we could all wear black. I'm pretty sure that hasn't been done before...

From: [identity profile] active-apathy.livejournal.com
Maybe if you wear all purple and continually hop on one leg?

Date: 2006-02-06 07:07 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mrpyro.livejournal.com
Excellent! Now all I need to do is spread this to a bunch of impressionable 13 year olds. Soon their LiveJournals will be filled with posts of

Well, I'm not doing that quiz, because I'm way too cool. And it's like, a quiz, and I don't do them. So I'm going to put on my purple and hop down to the mall. And OMG Steve was hopping on his left leg yesterday instead of the right. He said it was because his right leg hurt, but I know he just doesn't get it.

Then I need to open a shop that sells purple clothes.

I tied.
I'm a white lighter and a magician, so I posted the results for both.

(Then realized the results threw my layout out of wack, so I redid my layout. It's very pink now.)

Shiny. They're very blue results, which makes your layout look yet more pink.

I really like pink.
Making David take me up to get my hair cut today.
Will post pictures later, so you can see my cute new hair and my very pink outfit.

I'm getting that distinct impression. I'm more a fan of purple.

Still! Haircut!photos. Whee! :)

Purple's my next favorite. Then blue.

I'm a little nervous about getting it cut because I've picked out a rather short (but simple to care for) cut and I've had long hair since 9th grade.

I really need a change though.

You can always let it grow again, and it'll probably come back healthier if you do. :)

I recoded the test results, easier than trying to figure layout stuff. Apparently I'm a whitelighter. Meh.

No shock here.

You scored as Discordian. You are a Discordian! That makes you a real oddball, and this is a fact in which you take great pride! Everything is funny, and really, who cares anyway? Synchronicity is the Great Cosmic Comedy, and meaning is where you find it! Have you hugged your paradigm today?
