Why is it pens come 12 to a box, but there's only 100 Post-Its in a pad?
Feb. 6th, 2006 11:25 pmI have paid my course fees! I am now officially a library technician in training. Officially.
I'm considering a new 'librarianism' tag.[Poll #667710]Now, as you may have guessed from the title, my day also came with shopping. My pen ran out - actually, all my pens are kinda empty - so this prompted the difficult quest to find a new pen. And to buy some Post-It notes.
Finding a pen is... um... strangely difficult. I decided that of all the pens they had boxes for, I wanted a 0.5mm black gel ink pen. They didn't actually have any. The box was full of 0.7mm ones.
Crisis!
So, I went looking for this exact pen that I decided I wanted. And then in blue, just in case and then... well, 0.7mm. Not happy, but I'll find a 0.5mm one before I start getting all learned.
Post-Its were easier to find, and my copy of HPatPS is now marked in strategic spots with Post-Its. Well... not quite. Normal people looking to keep track of a few pages will put Post-It notes into a book. As a result of previous academia, my books tend to end up with OMGWTFPost-Itnotes. The page count doubles in little yellow slips of paper, with notes, comments, jokes or squiggles on.
And... wait. Message. *reads*
And... um... that'll do. Yay! *snoopydances for Serenity*
