and a slice of meme wrapped around a large gold brick.

Let's start with the morning, shall we?

I was the target of Religious Doorknocking today. Yay me. In a Fandom Moment, once he started talking, I asked him if he should be off somewhere bringing religiosity to the fuzzy-wuzzies. He appeared Very Confused.

For future reference, "Keep on walking, preacher man" works much better.

The other major incident today came when I was shopping for some food. I needed a new head. The heads they had were too expensive, not freshly severed, rather small, and some had small insects trotting about on them. I left, headless. I shall have to look elsewhere for a new head, hopefully more recently severed, because a head that's not fresh really isn't worth all that effort.

Oh. Um... heads of lettuce, that is.

And now, a memeish moment.

Sorry about the extra random; I should know better than to write entries while editing quizposts.

I hear you about the lettuces. I thought I'd found a good one the other day, but once I'd pulled some of the floppier leaves off the outside, I discovered that the part that was actually edible was quite small.

*nods* I can't stand heads (of lettuce) where the useful bit on the inside is particularly tiny.

Wait, no. That goes for human ones too. :)

Although it is rather more difficult to ascertain with the human heads which ones have the tiny useful bits, because unlike lettuce, you're not allowed to pull the outside bits of human heads off.

That's very true, and quite a pity. I brought my own hacksaw.

Now this is weird. I had someone turn up on my doorstep last night - I should have twigged at the fact that he turned up on, you know, a motorcycle, but he was carrying a thick book with gold lettering that looked like it said 'Holy Bible'.

Turns out he was just my mum's long lost cousin, wanting to teach her about the family history, and that was our family tree he was holding. Dang. Next time I'll get to do it...

(And random? I love random. Keep it up :) )

Bonus points if you say it like River. *nods some*

You're welcome! I don't think it made his, though. :)

I had to stop myself from using "shiny" in a work-related email today (as in, "if the program says X and Y, things will be shiny.")

My parental types have started using 'shiny', now.

Shiny!

Mine would be all confused if I made them watch the big damn series.

Mine <3 Joss, so convincing them to watch was incredibly easy.

They're up to Out of Gas, now, having been slayed by Jaynestown a few days back.
