So, I lost most of my day to - of all things - designing a spaceship. Well... not so much. I have a design all worked out, it's just a matter of getting it all into my nice little 3d model so that I can have pretty pretty pictures of it.

Problem is, I haven't really used that particular program much. Things are going slowly, but progress is actually being made. Who'd ever have thought that inside a computer would be the hardest place in the 'verse to build a spaceship?

I have deckplans, too, but I want to find something to draw those in so they're pretty and contain straight lines. Plus, it gives me something to do while waiting for the NaNoFolk in [livejournal.com profile] apathy_games to have an abundance of free time.

Look! Lines! I couldn't think of a smooth texty link for everything.

Since this is post #195, I thought I might just clean up after previous music!quizzes. So!

Entry 100 had one that no-one quite got. That was the one where the theme was that the lyric contained the song title. The excerpt of lyric for this particular song was:
________, ________
I don’t need ________
I can’t see dark night
Maybe I’ll find on the way down the line
That I’m free, free to be me
________ is a long way from home
The song is Black Night, by Deep Purple.

This post is the other one, and it grew out of a meme. It came in two parts. The first 20 used the start of the song, and of these, three went unsolved.

The first was this:
Sad voices, they're calling
Our precious girl, she can't be gone
The answer I was looking for here was Demons & Wizards, with Fiddler On The Green.

Next, we had:
If you're leaving, close the door
I'm not expecting people anymore
Starting a trend, that was Deep Purple's When A Blind Man Cries.

The third was:
Try to fly away, but it's impossible
And every breath I take gives birth to deeper sighs
Supplied by my particular talent for leaving the radio on when starting Winamp, the electric wireless provided Anastacia's Heavy On My Heart.

The second part was a little less fixed in how it went about things, and used any bit of the song it felt like.

We'll start with this:
Just one note
Could make me float
Could make me float away
That one's from the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Aeroplane.

And, lastly:
He sees his children jumping off
At the stations, one by one
Which some of you may now recognise from Jethro Tull's Locomotive Breath.

And that's about it for now. Silly spaceships.

I did!

And that line on your icon was deliberately wobbly. I don't draw that badly.
