[active_apathy]

This is really very fun. The average time between posting and being metaquoted seems to be decreasing.

Current estimates suggest that sometime next month, I may have to start reading metaquotes to see what I'm about to post. The biggest supershiny benefit to this is that it'll save me from ever making typos or silly HTML mistakes ever again.

Should we request a new LJ tag? Maybe <lj-paradox>? It'd be versatile - type="temporal", type="logical", type="falsidical"*, or even more specific things - paradox="diamond-water"†, for example.

* If someone has a usable definition for 'falsidical', it's going to be my word of the day for the next 23 hours. *glances hopefully at lietya*
† An economic paradox. Water is cheaper than diamonds, but we don't need diamonds to survive.

It might be an idea. Also the variations with underscores at either end and in the middle and randomly placed between odd letters and with the little ~*~*~ on either end (unless that's just annoying AOLers and not LJ names at all) so that nobody can ever ever steal your LJdentity.

Well. Some of that might possibly be overkill.

The one with underscores sounds sensible; the reason I was after the underscore-free version was that it's the one that's most likely to be used by mistake.
