She woke up and yawned softly, looking around the cavernous space around them. She stared blearily at the mostly-dark room, a room that looked like... the quaternary cargo hold?

She stretched a little, and the pressure around her body - arms, she realised after a moment - gently tightened around her.

"Can't have you drifting across the room and back before you even wake up," came a voice from behind her. A cute voice; a smooth, tasty kind of voice that she'd usually be hearing over the tach-pulse comms by now.

And in that well-deserved break from Not-Really-National-Write-A-Damned-Report-Day, I've finally, fiiiinally, written that thingy for [livejournal.com profile] shaysdays. My life is now complete, and I could unexist happily. Well, not exactly happily, but less sad about it.

(Except that [livejournal.com profile] goblinpaladin wouldn't ever find out about the dragons. Hmm.)

It's been... too long. It's been nineteen completely different drafts of twenty different stories, none of which are ever, ever, to see the light of day. There is a reason why I do not write sex, and that reason is that I just can't, not without fits of laughter at how monumentally horrific it is. And now, it's over, and it's. Something. I want it to be better, but I also want it to be finished, and I've made my choice on that score.

And it's full of handwaved impossible science, of course. Superluminal time dilation = brain go byebye. For that matter, subluminal time dilation = brain go byebye.

(Bwee! Done!)
