Plans are afoot to remake all six Star Wars films.
In 3d.
This is, I suppose, both good and bad. Bits of Sith wouldn't be hurt by a bit of 3d-ness, which would at worst help us to understand Obi-Wan's examination of Anakin's arse. Some other scenes could be helped by it, but I can't help but imagine it's acomplete waste of time quest for more money. Maybe they should re-release it tomorrow, but with the scenes in which Padme has a brain. That'd be good.
In other news, we have more new comms. Both of these have grown from jokes. The first is
adjectinventive, which is for words made up (or first e-used) on LJ. The second,
comms_anon, comes from talking to
lesslikeyou about community addiction.
Lastly, Greg Dean (of Real Life Comics) wrote a fairly glowing review of Serenity after he went to see a test screening, and he's dying to see the final cut of the film. It seems like we can definitely expect our Mr Whedon to be in his finest storytelling form.
