Amusingly, a report on 60 Minutes that I couldn't quite avoid all of tonight had Liam Bartlett actually going on about how the internet is for porn.




Also, my lamp just exploded. Which, while a little bit exciting, is a suboptimal configuration for future desk-lighting operations. Excuse me as I replace it with fire (and possibly clean up the pieces; for future reference, lampshade > lampshard).

(Also, lamp looks less like a word every time you type it. Lamp. Lamp. Lamp lamp lamp. Lampitty lamp. Lamplamplamplamplamp. Lamp. Machine-thingy that makes light (and then explodes).)

Some friends of mine up at UNSW are trying to organise a student forum in hopes that uh that government guy whose name I can't remember but who is theoretically supposed to be the guy to approach re this whole fiasco will come down and actually, you know, tell us why this is supposedly a good idea. (They tried to approach him individually but were rebuffed, I guess they figure if it's something more official...)
