I have decided this will be a good idea, and will be turning everything off except for things like the fridge and the fishtank filter that need to stay on. Given the statistics presented on the website, if that many people turning off just their lights saves so much power, just think how good it would be if people turned off all non-essential appliances.

I see the website maintainers have gotten a head start, given that the webpage is down.
