Ah, newsreaders.

There's a newsreader on the radio here who's, well, not very good. In the past there's been such wondrous news items as a football team ravished by injuries. This morning:

"...the strike from the stagehands union has ended, allowing carpenters, electricians, and sound and lightning technicians to return to work."

Sound and lightning technicians. Lightning. As in stagehand!Thor? Did I maybe miss the part of the Prose Edda that details the Æsir's production of The Pirates of Penzance at Bilskirnir?

I'd start making a list of every time she says something like that, but I need those last few shreds of my faith in humanity.
