I downloaded the limited version of this critter a week or so ago:

and with a little bit of getting-used-to, did manage to extract a segment of a DVD in .avi format.

The trial version is limited to 10 minutes of time, perfect for something like a YouTube app. Not sure if it has an expiry date on the trial.
