From garthnix.com:

More Old Kingdom Books to come, other news

I will be writing two more novels set in the Old Kingdom and Ancelstierre. They will be published by Allen & Unwin in Australia and by HarperCollins US and HarperCollins UK.

The first, probably out in 2010, will be Clariel: The Lost Abhorsen, which is the story of the young woman who eventually became Chlorr of the Mask. It takes place about 320 years before the events in Sabriel. The second is untitled, and is a sequel of sorts to Abhorsen, taking place several years later. It should be out in 2011. Both 2010 and 2011 seem like a long way away but no doubt will sneak up on me horribly when I least expect it. Sometimes I think time is a practitioner of the secret Welsh martial art of Llap-Goch.

Before those two Old Kingdom books I have to finish The Keys to the Kingdom (I'm nearly done with Superior Saturday, so just Lord Sunday after that) and there will also be a standalone science fiction novel, called A Confusion of Princes, which should be out in 2009.
Yay!

(also is be wanting to read his story in Eclipse 1. He read the beginning of 'Bad Luck, Trouble, Death and Vampire Sex' at Conflux, and it was hilarious)

Oooh... I like the icon.

(Oooh. I've also considered Dark Alchemy, which has the Nix and the Gaiman.)

I read your post, and said to myself, "So what if you're meant to be working on [message redacted] for uni? ICON!!!"

I have Dark Alchemy, but have only read Nix's so far. (Damn you, [message redacted]! Why am I studying anyway?)

(also, Conflux will be on over the October long weekend again next year. You should go!)

Thankyou for not saying the word e- that must not be said.

I have no Dark Alchemy, partly because I thought I already had a copy of Holly and Iron somewhere, which I don't. So, there may be Dark Alchemy in my future.

My lack of Soylent Green recipes is clearly a tragic oversight.

Hee! I hate prequels because you always know who's going to die already. But more Abhorsen is always awesome!

It is! And 320 years is enough for many of the faces to change. I think Chlorr's should be an interesting tale.

Ooh, that is quite splendid news! I'm reading Abhorsen just now and am entirely not opposed to more of the sort.

Is "a confusion" the generally accepted collective noun for princes? Because if it isn't, it should be.

We'll have to make it the collective noun, I think, one person at a time.

Except the princes. We'd need at least two for any kind of a confusion.

Also, your icon is cute.
