I was sure you'd have worked it out by now. You were always so... so bright, so talented, so ruttin' perfect at noticing things like this. Guess it's something I was wrong about. Like as not, not the only thing; I ain't exactly figured out what it was made you pull that kind of stunt in the first place, but then that ain't exactly my problem here.

'Course, I know the why - ain't many in our parts of the 'Verse as don't. Well, the important ones, anyway – but then, you're not quite moonbrained enough to try it with one of them. Point is, doesn't matter; you betrayed us, and you betrayed me, and that just ain't good enough.

And for all of it, I'm almost on your gorram side. Can't think of anything like a sane reason why, but I am. Sure, I might spend my time killing your chances of findin' somewhat as looks to be a life, but that's just my job.

Sure. Your side. Maybe 'cause I'm sick of all of this, all of the chasin' you 'round the shee-niou underside of the 'Verse, makin' certain as you don't follow through with this fahng-tzong fung-kwong duh jeh plan you're obsessin' over.

'Cause, you see, that's the problem. Your plan. Your ruttin' plan. You stole things from us, and you betrayed us, and that just ain't about to work for you. See, things like that put us in a powerful need of an example, and that example just happens to be you.

Sure, could be we'd just kill you, but that ain't exactly a deterrent. Ain't that long back that kind of idiocy got Niska a world of trouble on his doorstep. Death ain't an example; it just convinces the next liou coe shway duh biao-tze huh hoe-tze duh bun ur-tze they'll get away with it if they ain't stupid enough to make your mistake.

No, that ain't the way at all. We need you livin', and desperate as we can get you. We need you driven to the edge. We need you held over it 'til you ain't even sure it ain't fair.
