Can anyone come up with a credible explanation for how a thread in a mailing list can go from talking about RPG weapon bonuses, to Shadowrun, then to damage tracking, then - shortly thereafter - to WoD, and then to a slight detail of WoD, before moving on to trolls and seduction, followed by more weapons, and then, for now, ending with blancmange and tiramisu?

No? I didn't think so. I'm confused, and I was there.

Hmm, let's see, it's been 8 years since I last played Shadowrun (I think), and more than that since WoD but...

RPG weapon bonuses. Shadowrun is a game for gun bunnies, ergo how much damage it does is a likely topic. Shadowrun uses a roll lots of dice and reroll highest scoring (or at least it did), as does WoD, so comparing the two ways of calculating target #s may make sense?

Both games have trolls, and all forums have trolls, but seducing trolls is generally a bad idea, but if you do, games involving foodstuffs noted for their, um, usable consistency in such things?

Or, alternately, gaming mailing lists, what did you expect?

It's my fault. Seriously.

Except the tiramisu. That's Linda's fandom talking.

Well, yes. And I blame Monty Python for the blancmange.
