Re: the Poll-but-Not - a small assortment of the comments have been unscreened. I'll likely reply to some, or all, of the threads, but Not Just Yet.
Today really just comes down to three observations. Well, two observations and a kind of loud squeee.
Let's start with the more odd of my observations, which was that for ten minutes today, on the bus, there was someone sitting behind me who sounded exactly like Kendra the vampire slayer, who pops up in BtVS s2.
Cue me trying not to die from gigglefits at remembered lines from BtVS episodes that I watched yesterday.
Next! It is currently School Holidays around these parts, something of which I was unaware when I braved the Temples of Shoppeing in search of assorted goods. Also, it is autumn. Somehow, I always manage to be shopping for things during the Festival of the Walking Germ Cannon, as they find a way to cough their noxious pathogens into the contained and recirculated atmosphere with every. damn. step.
Cue wishing for Kend-RA, vump-IRE slay-ah to end them. Rar.
In squeeish news, I have a new book. It be the
m15m book, which I randomly saw on the shelf when I randomly decided to look at the film section of a bookshop I don't normally go to in a building where I rarely shop. Obviously, I was meant to buy it. So I did.
And that's the post for this day, the name of which I knew up until a few minutes back and will likely remember after hitting post, unless I look up that it's... um, friday! Yes.
...
It's nearly midnight. I have an Excuse!
