Turns out, I've been tragically behind on memes. These things are bound to happen occasionally.
Before I start, I want everyone to know that the writing thingy is still very much open. And will probably never close. It is here. Anyone can play.
And now on with the sheepage. This time, here's one for which I was tagged by
salzara_tirwen.
The meme? To write 20 random facts about yourself, and then to tag as many people as the number of minutes the meme takes you. So!

- I virtually never use a mouse, and instead use my tablet for most ordinary mousing. The good news here is that I'll avoid carpal tunnel from mouse use.
- My handwriting evolves constantly. Now, this itself isn't terribly special, but my handwriting can change noticeably on a daily basis. My signature isn't a formality; it's a lottery.
- I have a complete n--drinker set of coaters from useless, damaged and discarded CDs. This set is complete for values of n > 150.
- I'm a bit of a photogeek. Just a little bit. My caring about framing and lighting and depth of field used to upset my parents endlessly, since they have a bit of the 'just take a photo' mentality.
- I'm handwriting this list, to type later. [ETA: I'm typing this list that I handwrote earlier.]
- I draw random scribblypictures when thinking, if I have a pen in my hand and some paper nearby. My exam booklets from my schooling are full of educational little pictures on the inside covers.
- I use A6 (105x148mm) 110gsm acid-free sketch books for notepads. I keep one with me virtually all the time.
- I use Whedonisms in normal speech. Not just Firefly ones, either. And, of course, Whedonisms are full of wordy goodness.
- I quite like vanilla Coke. I drink probably more of it than is quite good for me.
- My desk is hideously messy. [ETA: Except right now, because I needed a space where I could open my notebook. I give it a day.]
- My favourite colour (that can be reproduced in print and on a computer monitor) is purple. My real favourite colour is indigo.
- I use em tags in place of i, strong in place of b, kbd instead of tt, blockquotes for substantial quotes, and ol, ul or dl tags for lists. In short, I'm a bit of an HTML geek.
- It makes me happy when I see people using icons from
metaicons. - I almost never finish computer games. They mostly get boring and repetitive after a while. I could probably list games that I have finished.
- I don't like used books. This, needless to say, makes my reading habit expensive. I suppose the ultimate irony would be if I were to start nicking VCRs to finance it.
- I use the word 'thingy' with plainly alarming frequency.
- Near the end of a list, I can't think of new list items. This continues up until the very last item, for which I'll typically have eleventy billion ideas.
- LJisms are creeping into my everyday speech. OMG LJisms bling bling.
- I'm heavier than I'd like to be by approximately one-quarter of the combined weight of my dogs.
- I miscounted when I was writing these, and only had 19.
