TV News: ...and even the experts have no idea what might actually happen if an asteroid ever hits the Earth.
My Brain: Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm putting $20 on "Earth-shattering kaboom".

So, today was an interesting day. For certain (and fairly low) values of interesting. Between misreading 'depot' as 'despot' in TV ads (accidentally, the first time) and wondering what'd happen if a Gotham police officer wrote a ticket for the Goddamn Batmobile, there's not much, really.

Especially since I spent precious time I could've spent on important things - like catching up on Heroes - doing other things, like playing Super Mario Galaxy. Which, though fun, takes quite some getting used to; trying to make Mario get a run-up and do a long jump upside-down towards the screen while the camera tries to rotate around to behind him, for example, tends to require gameplay in a number of dimensions usually only available to the owners of particle accelerators.

Or there was the moment when I wanted to check the proper preposition for the verb 'originate' in my (concise) OED, and thought I saw a headword for 'lulz'. Which, as it happened, turned out to just be 'lutz' flipping by at speed. This is probably just as well, too; my dictionary - published very slightly pre-lolcat - would be quite an alarming little tome if it actually did have lolentries (not that this stopped me from looking for some of them).

On the other hand, a dictionary self-adding words from TEH FUTUREZ might be fun; just imagine having your very own potential causality paradox sitting right there on your bookshelf.

And- no. That really does it for today's bespoke madness. Well, yesterday's bespoke madness, since it's 12:30am, but still. *posts*
