The subject line is deliberate, but bear this in mind: as I type, I'm at a non-zero depth in the cups of VICTORY, which - though generally perkier than the cups of defeat - are no less alcoholic.
You have been warned.
Let me begin by saying this: Yay! W00! Squeeeeeheehehehahaha!
Let me then continue by saying that HOWARD, John Winston, has lost Bennelong, with 77.17% of the vote counted. Unless truly bizarre things happen, McKEW, Maxine, wins. HOORAY! Also, I think I agree with my fellow election night drinkers who say that McKew could well be PM one day.
Add that Eden-Monaro's gone to Labor, that Howard's lost, and that Rudd's victory speech made me happy like an ecstatically happy person, and things look Very Good.
(SQUEEEE!)
I'll save any stronger kinds of happiness until the postals and absentees are done (and the Senate papers have been glanced at, let alone counted) but, yay. Suqee.
...I typo one word, and it's 'squee'? Drink does weird things.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I have a slightly-late report of 5-600 words to be writing. While somewhat intoxicated. Interesting times!
