It's not so much that the writing for Rush is bad, as that better screenplays could be forged by the interaction of a small explosive device and a large bowl of alphabet soup.

...if I could get my hands on a small explosive device for you, would you care to put that theory to the test? I'm feeling a Mythbusters urge coming on.

I'm glad I didn't make the effort to stay up and watch it. I'm very fond of Samuel Johnson due to Secret Life of Us, but sadly can't stay up that late on a weeknight. Not with having to get up for work at 6 AM.

To be honest, Evan (for I can never remember his real name) is one of the few saving features of the show. That, and that it's like revision for the TV Tropes wiki.

(DO NOT click that link unless you have a spare hour. Or four.)

Not really? For even though it'd be a better screenplay, I'd rather not see most of the cast trying to act out the soup script.

It's really sad. It's gotten to the point where I get excited when I stumble across *good* scriptwriting...

(eg, Life. It has its pulp noir moments, and channel 10 ads make it look crap, but it is bantery crime show goodness.)

And I want to see alphabet soup tv, but not as much as Dalek chef tv.

"askfdsrgih!" cried Frank, clutching Jenny in terror. "Asprigjseog!"

"There, there." She patted his head. "Be a dear and take your medication, Frankie."
